Recently, my friend gave me his used Ibanez Ergodyne ED905 5-string bass. I will be taking bass guitar lessons soon, and was considering switching guitars (I'd prefer a 4-string)
Should I go for a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass, Squier Affinity J Bass, or Ibanez GSR200? If none of the above, should I just stick with the 5-string guitar?

Ok, i'm thinking of buying the Ibanez K5 Bass http://www.ibanez.com/bass/series.aspx?s=k5 i'm just wondering if they make left handed ones because obviously i play left handed and have not been able to find any on the internet so i'm wondering if they actually even make them?
