I'm looking for a good BASS guitar gig bag or case. I want something that's around $50, but that is good quality. A lot of the ones that I've seen have little/no padding, or the stitching rips easily. Please give me ideas/suggestions/links for what would be good. The case is JUST AS IMPORTANT as the instrument, so I want to get it right the first time (otherwise both case and bass will get damaged/destroyed) THANK YOU!
I'm purchasing a Squire Vintage Modifed Precision Bass... so it will have to fit well...

i've been searching on www.musiciansfriend.com and other sites. my local stores have pretty bad cases, no padding or way too expensive... i'm looking for specific suggestions/reviews please?

Hi,
I'm a 24 year old musician, I play bass guitar for around 8 years now. My first bass was a Vintage and now I'm using a Fender. However, I'm looking for a new bass guitar, I'm not fully satisfied with Fender sound. I play many variations of music but I mostly prefer hard rock and heavy metal (bands like Metallica, Sepultura, Pantera, Guns N Roses and many Southern Rock/Metal bands). What I love in a bass sound is when the sound is really strong. Fender has a great sound but it sounds too "flat" while playing with heavy overdrived guitars.
I was thinking of looking in Ibanez or Yamaha basses.
What do you guys think? Can you give me some advice and suggest me some bass models?

I am curious about some of the vintage Hagstrom bass guitars that are around. Has anyone any experience with any of these guitars? Are they good instruments? If so/not, why?
Also, what happened to the Tokai Rockinbetter series?
